These indoor air handlers install into a ceiling to distribute cooled or heated air from overhead within a room or area. Multiple air handlers can be connected to an outdoor condenser of sufficient capacity to form a multizone mini-split system for cooling more than one room. These ceiling-mount cassette air handlers are commonly installed in the center of a room within a cutout or drop ceiling so that most of the air handler is hidden within the ceiling.
